Add a touch of class to your night out by spending an evening of fine dining and drinking at one of Bangkok's trendiest hotel bars. There's not much room at the Sapphire Bar just past the lobby unless you plan to sit down and eat, but there is loads of room outside at a beautiful Al Fresco lounge called Bar V.
Sapphire Bar features some of the most imaginative drink creations, tasty gourmet tapas and great music to be found in the City of Angels. The bar has been modelled after a 'speakeasy' in the roaring 1920s and accordingly possesses a carefree and flamboyant atmosphere.
This place is expensive but expect some of the most elegant of surroundings while you sip quality drinks, which have been made using quality brands. The staff are really on the ball and go the extra mile to make sure you are taken care of extremely well.
They're usually pretty good when it comes to the dress code, but you may not want to turn up with loud colours, too much skin showing or smelling like a crusty backpacker.
The bar is the perfect spot to linger over classic cocktails with friends, have an intimate tête-à-tête with a loved one, meet with business colleagues or celebrate a special occasion.
House specialities include the signature ‘Sapphire' cocktail, an array of mixed drinks, wine by the glass and gourmet coffee and teas, not to mention a range of mouthwatering cakes, pastries and tasty tapas.
Best reached by Phaya Thai BTS Skytrain station, or as part of your journey on The Victory Monument Dance pub crawl.
