This is a favourable hotel with friendly and helpful staff. It’s clean, modern and right in the heart of the Silom area. It isn't ideal for extended stays but is fine for up to a couple of weeks. The mattresses are a little on the hard side, but the beds are still very comfortable with a nice thick warm cover.
This place is centrally located for most types of travel within the city. You’ll be 8 minutes’ walk from Surasak BTS Skytrain, or Sala Daeng isn’t much further. For an early evening walk, Lumphini Park is just down the road. Walk in the other direction, and you come to the Chao Phraya where you can pick up a river taxi.
This place charges about right for what you get, which is a modern room with new aircon unit, wall mounted flat screen tv, fridge and ensuite. There aren't any complementaries such as bottled water or coffee making facilities, but the surrounding area is littered with restaurants, bistros, coffee shops, etc. The minibar doesn’t overcharge, but this is probably due to there being a (7-11) store right downstairs which is a bonus. You can get breakfast included when you book, or you can pay extra downstairs if required. The breakfast is basic but good, and you can have a cooked breakfast with coffee for 132 baht.
For nightlife, Maggie Choo's and the Sky Bar are within walking distance (few minutes). One downside to this hotel is there’s not much in the way of Wifi, even in the public areas, so you may want to use a local SIM and some mobile internet.
